VINTAGE WORKSHOP - The Stanwyck Skirt
Workshop held over the course of 4 weeks, 3 hour sessions each Tuesday 4pm to 7pm

Pencil or wiggle skirts are a staple of the vintage look and are perfect to slide into your modern wardrobe for that vintage flair. Paired with seamed stockings and high heels, you'll soon have your Marilyn wiggle perfected.
Join Whitelane for this workshop to make your very own pencil skirt, as part of the Vintage Wardrobe Series.
This is a beginner friendly workshop with some knowledge of sewing techniques and machines advised. This workshop will also satisfy the more skilled sewist, with multiple options in pockets, shaped waistbands, bibs, ruffles and suspender straps.
The skills required (or you will learn during) with this workshop are:
- Pattern cutting and grading between sizes
- Pattern adjustments
- Interfacing waistbands
- Kickback pleats
- Hemming options
Materials are not provided for this workshop.
Participants are responsible for sourcing their own materials for this workshop. A free information session will be held to discuss the requirements of this workshop on Monday 20 December
The following materials and supplies are required for this workshop
Stanwyck Skirt pattern by Charm Patterns. This pattern is available as a printed hard copy or PDF version.
- Exterior fabric and optional lining fabric
- Interfacing (fusible)
- Zipper 18cm
- Thread to match your fabric
- Trouser hook and bar
- Optional decorative buttons for pockets
- Your sewing kit - scissors, hand needles, pins, measuring tape, etc
Whitelane will provide use of sewing machines, iron & pressing hams, cutting tables, fitting manikins (select sizes).
