The WHITELANE Cyd Tulle Petticoat pattern channels the glamour of the golden age of Hollywood and the grace of Cyd Charisse.
This design is a based on the iconic petticoat worn by Cyd Charisse in "Silk Stockings". A beautiful layering piece constructed from a full circle skirt with significant volume at the hem of the garment, suitable for a range of vintage silhouettes. The pattern itself is designed to teach new skills and introduce couture techniques to the novice sewer. Complete with easy to follow instructions, this pattern is an intermediate project, with stunning results.

Files included: 2 PDF file including pattern and instructions. (Instruction document formatted to A4 paper size, while the pattern itself is formatted to A0 print size. Two versions of the A0 print file are provided, one in colour the other in black and white, to suit your printing preferences.)
This is an intermediate pattern with a solid foundational knowledge of sewing techniques required. However, full written instructions are provided in the instructional booklet.
The skills required (or you will learn on the job) with this pattern are:
- Gathered fabric
- Elastic waistband application
Size: AU6-18 (WAIST 60-90CM)
Sizing for this pattern is drafted from Australian Women's Standard Sizing, but due to the nature of the garment's gathered waist, the pattern can accomodate measurements beyond each specified size. Please refer to the size chart for details.
- Tulle - bridal weight with a soft fall
- 20mm wide Picot elastic with plush backing
- 6mm wide satin ribbon
- Matching thread
- Gathering presser feet is highly recommended for this project
